The Excel file you upload needs to be formatted in a specific way for this utility to work correctly.

The Excel file needs to have at least a column for Grid Name, Item #, Dimension Attribute 1, and Current Price. The upload can also support Heartland Retail custom fields. All field names will need to match exactly as they are in Heartland to avoid errors. You can create or update multiple grids in a single file.

The Item # column can be filled with an existing item number, a new item number, or it can be left blank to have an item # generated when the file is processed.

Dimension Attribute columns need to be set with the dimension attributes from Heartland Retail’s grids. These can be Color Name, Size, Style Name, Product Type, Department, etc. Up to three Dimension Attribute columns can be used. For each attribute you add, you need to make a new column that matches the attribute, this column is where you add the information that will go into this field. In the above example, in the Dimension Attribute 1 column, we have Color Name. We make another column with the name of Color Name where we add anything that would go under this field in Heartland Retail. In the example, we have Brown Leather, Black Leather, and Chestnut Leather.
